Bienvenue ~ Welcome 2020
Bienvenue à la classe de français:
Welcome to a new world of language learning! EHS offers excellent language classes and gives you an opportunity to travel the world with French Club. This is my 20th year teaching at EHS, and I can’t wait to meet more students and see them begin their own language journey. Some of our former graduates have either studied or lived abroad in many places such as: Europe, Canada, Asia, Africa, South America, and from the East coast to the West coast of the United States. If you are willing to work hard to achieve your dreams, then there may be some great opportunities available. I look forward to a wonderful year exploring French. Please come into class with a positive ready-to-learn attitude; it makes all the difference.
Goals and Objectives of World Language Courses:
The major objectives in the classroom are: to further increase the development of communicative competency in the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as an enhancement of the knowledge and awareness of other cultures. Class dialogue, presentations, skits, and songs encourage our language acquisition. French textbooks, supplemental literature, and interactive language programs improve our language proficiency. Various forms of writing and grammar topics will be covered throughout the year, so get your cahier/notebook ready to write some French.
Additionally, we will be studying world geography, French culture/traditions, and French/world history and government. Class research projects, presentations, plays, speakers, films, and interactive activities will improve these aspects of study.

World Language Textbook Policy:
EHS purchased new textbooks for our World Language classes. These books are an excellent resource for our students with full online capability and activities. The online book is so much more than a book. The online book website allows access to our online workbook/cahier, class videos, warm-ups, practice quizzes/tests, and more. All students have access to the online textbooks and supporting resources from websites above.
